The Great Beaver Quest celebrates Toronto as a host city for soccer’s biggest event and welcomes the world with beaver sculptures painted in the colours of the flags and featuring motifs of one of the 48 competing countries’ teams. My proposal to paint a dragon-headed prow of a Viking longship, incorporate Norse knotwork, runes, and rosemaling (Norwegian folk art) was chosen by Old Town Toronto BIA. My great uncle Jan Petter Remme’s style was emulated in fjords around the base of the sculpture. Odin's ravens Huginn and Muninn wrap around the beaver’s shoulders. On the back of the beaver is a bindrune combining Raido (the journey), Gebo (the gift of hospitality/community), and Tiwaz (victory). Yggdrasil, the Norse tree of life, weaves over the belly.

2024
Commissioned by the Citadel + Compagnie ( https://www.citadelcie.com ), this mural is now installed along the side of The Citadel: Ross Centre for Dance, embedded within the Regent Park community of downtown Toronto. Children who study there participated by creating images of their community, which Future Day (Eden and Rebecca) then digitally combined with the artwork and had printed on 4x8' ACM panels with graffiti resistant coating. This neighbourhood improvement project was supported by a grant from the City of Toronto.
Sunset Chronicles: Collingwood's Journey by Rail, Sea and Ski
Huron Street (Highway 26) between Hurontario St. and Heritage Drive
Collingwood, Ontario, Canada
2023
This 100' long mural was unveiled during the Collingwood Art Crawl on September 16th 2023.  Original paintings, photography, and digital art combine with archival photos, illustrations, maps, historical information, and children's drawings.
Eden, Rebecca, and Sandra of Future Day worked with the Town and Collingwood Museum to create a visual journey through the history of the Collingwood Rail.  Children attending the museum's summer camps were invited to participate by colouring in chicks and hens illustrations in period clothing, a nod to the original name of the region, Hen and Chickens Harbour.
